Hey guys

Just wondered if anyone had any tips on staggered harvesting I.e. where to cut so the plant doesn't stress to much

I would say about half my plant is done and other half about a week behind?

I have read how to harvest just wondered if there is anything else to take in to consideration with staggered harvest? Will it matter if I take more off one side of the plant than the other?

As always peeps any tips/advice is very much appreciated

Peace out

:peace:

It will be ok if u chop it in half the little buds will plump up.

Next time try to possibly keep the plant shorter and wider to help it finish at one harvest.

This is often observed with sativas or untopped tall plants.

Remember to lower the light when you chop her top and you will be rewarded kindly with a second Harvey.

Wait if it's one side vs another try to just rotate the plant 180 degree. Sounds like it's on the edge of the garden possibly.

Congrats on the nugs hope that top is yummy!

Cheers buddy my top canopy is so think seemed to block out lower light next time I'll whack in another LED but tbh for my first grow I haven't envountered half the problems iv seen people getting on here even the bottom nugs are nice just not as ready as the rest

Thanks for the info though bud

Much appreciated

Great work on your first grow.

What's the trichomes color around the plant?

Depending on how quickly the trichomes are ripening up top you could leave the tops too.

Some strains take a week or two to go from cloudy to Amber some take only days. I had a critical auto that started to Amber early but I left her be and the ambering took 3 weeks to get to 25percent .

As long as the trichomes aren't clear u are good to chop. Ripeness is generally a preference.

I've always like the saying when it looks ready wait another week. Lol

See my problem is I'm off on holiday next Thursday I didn't even think about it clashing with me babies, i would say most are cloudy with about 10% Amber ima leave them till Friday I rekon and then go for the staggered and then it will give the rest about a week before they have to come down.

im on 20/4 atm think it will do me any harm to go 24/0 or 22/2 as i thought it was only the roots that really benefit from lights off? I get that the plant needs rest also just a thought.

thanks for the info man literally invaluable.

no prob bob.

i havent noticed ill effect from changing photo period with autos, unless you give them 24/0 then 12/12...no bueno.

i have gone from 24/0 to 20/4 to 18/6 before on one of my autos with no noticeable effects.

changing the photo period to more dark may help ripen them actually, that was my thinking in stepping down the hours.

Safe I get your thinking may drop them down to 18/6 tonite then I'll see if I can find more info

i've also started a ww auto in 24/0 moved it to 12/12 for a couple weeks, moved it back to 24/0 and all the while from t5 to hps to t5.... filled out nicely it stretched when it went into 12/12 but recovered after she went back to 24/0...

The other ww autos I left in 12/12 all continued to stretch and stretch... The buds were all medium sized dense grenades tho. Fairly ugly plant structure, low yield but nice nugs at the end...lol

I just love how hardy and pretty much hermaphrodite free autos are, and im speaking of FEM autos even.

cheers!!

I was wondering also do I have to cut the branches rite down at the main stem/stalk or can I just cut like half way down to leave the lower buds still on branches and just cut the top half off of a branch?

thanks in advance

Anyone know or have any expirience on cutting branches like 2/3 of the way down to allow light to the lower branch buds or do I have to take the branches off rite at the stem

I hope I'm not to unclear with my question
