Just startin' up my very first indoor grow. Used to Johnny Appleseed a lot where I grew up in the Smoky Mountains, this is lots different though.
I'm growing organic, home made super-soil, right now I just have an 8 bulb T5HO and 12 65 watt actuall CFL bulbs. I have a mix of 6500 and 2700, 3000 bulbs. I'm about to surprise my better half by purchasing myself a double end HPS for the Holidays. I'm gonna pay dearly for it too........ To the old lady, not the lamp supplier...
My first seed purchase was some Crop Circle Autos, among others, from Gorilla seeds. Only two of 5 seeds came up and they were crippled, so I had to euthanize them. No offense intended to any seeds out there... I emailed Gorilla and they just fell back on "our seeds are only for collection" horse crap. Must me nice to be able to sell old, dead, seeds and then just point at a sign and say "Tough Taco's".
That's why I'm so happy to have found Mephisto. I have 8 Skywalkers and 8 Sour Crack seedlings about to put in the big grow bags. The Mephisto stock grows like it is on steroids or something.

I'm doing some odd experiments with a couple of the plants.... Piss as fertilizer, but also piss that is contaminated with my gout medicine...... So far no Frankenstein monsters..... I'll letcha know.

Welcome to AFN @Cap'nCrud I love me some Smoky Mountains and I'm a southern boy too. Sorry you had the bad experience with Gorilla, sometimes they will put you in touch with the breeder, and that may still be an option. Anyways, lots of knowledgeable growers here and so much to learn. Good luck in your journey!

Using pee as a nute is a new one on me. I would be tempted to try it out on my neighbors 'mater plants first

Welcome pal, all the allotment guys I know use pee to speed up the composting process can't say I know any using it directly so good luck with !!!!

I must say, I used to pee outside late at night when no one was about, and the area was totally weed free. Maybe it was just me, but in my humble opinion, I would never use pee anywhere near my plants. It was death juice to plants (even hardy weeds!)

I'm bet if I was on your diet, my pee would kill plants too!

Hey guys, thanks for the welcomes and the chuckles! I like to cut up and horse around too much they say.... so bear with me sometimes. As for the urine, it actually is a good booster for your plants if you use it fresh and cut it at least 10-1. I don't use much at all, or often. Never apply urine directly to a plant, it will burn it, especially seedlings.
Part of the chuckle with using my urine is the presence of colchicine in it from my gout medicine. I have no idea what the concentration is coming out of my body, but I am putting it on one of my plants..... Just for shits and giggles. I want to see if it will poly the entire plant.
Oh, I forgot, my grow tent is a 4X8 foot tall by 6.5 ft tall. I am looking for suggestions on which in line 6inch duct fan everyone recommends. I think I am going to have to run it pretty much 24/7. I am running semi-rigid aluminum 4 inch pipe out of the basement, up the side of the house, and above the roof by a couple of feet. People will just think I installed a pellet furnace.

Try soaking a seed in it before planting , if you have good kidney function over a 24 hour period I would guess and this is only a guess you would release %20 of dosage taken, this is quite interesting Thanks lots to read now
