Howdy guys, im new to this forum and compared to many of you, new to growing. That said, iv been discreetly growing autoflowers for over a decade now, albeit irregularly.

I have a question about lighting, its hypothetical,but im guessing must happen from time to time.

So here goes, if you are growing in a tent, lets say some black sugar fems, and you have reduced their light to 12/12 and then for reasons beyond your control, you have to take the tent down and discreetly rehome the said plant outdoors. But out doors, the light cycle is much longer than 12/12.
What will be the effect on the plant, the flowers, the yield?

to answer your question and to agree with the majority... if its an autoflower then no worry's but if its a photoperiod it will revert back to it vegetative state if its taken out of a 12/12 light cycle.

If you have buds and you place a plant back in re veg the buds will just stop forming and then you may see the plant go through some weird growth depending if and how much you remove of the buds and branches...If you have to move this plant and If the the bud are of a decent maturity I would just harvest them.

The plant will be funky.

If the plant was in bud at 12/12 light. Then moved to longer light schedule it depend on how long the light schedule was if it was only a minor say an hour longer. That won't do anything. maybe even up to two hours depending on the strain but past 14 hours she'll try to reveg this is where you got the Catch-22 at it may or may not be a good thing?
I'm telling you from experience I've done it last spring accidentally.

I set a group of girls out April 25th. The light was still short about 10.5 hours daylight. ( I should say I do light depth techniques ) So I'm on track to flower perfect . So I had surgery on my arm which created a great much difficulty. I wasn't able to pull my tarp up and over top of the grow when the light started getting too long so I accidentally put them back in to veg or reveg.
then with in a week I had them back in flower by the 18th.
Long store short the buds will come out strange very strange and they will look like resined up sea coral. Not dank at all.
But good if you are making concentrates very resiny very much crystals and very powerful absolutely strength the plant was a sage and sour which is exactly the 50/50 Indica sativa but the final product on those plants was a very deep Indica Buzz.
