Just joined this forum as i'm trying my hand at auto's outdoors.
Every season i have problems with photo-period strains not finishing before the cold of winter stalls their flowering & then the dreaded mold hits. My plants are usually only 1/2 -3/4 of the way into flower before i am forced to harvest. So i'm going to try my hand at autos. I bought 3 Short Stuff seed strains to try, Onyx, Dr feelgood & Russian rocket fuel.
I bought them as regular seeds rather than fems, if i am happy with the autos i'll want to grow my own seeds rather than constantly risk importing.
I'm planing on growing them in 30L 'vegie bags' in a 50/50 mix of coco & composted cow poop that has some home made & well seasoned chicken poop (the chicken poop is a good 12mths or more old) mixed in.
I also plan on starting the seeds in seed raising mix in small pots then transplanting out as soon as they are able to handle the outdoors.
Any advice on growing these is welcome, i've been growing our fav herb for plenty of years both indoors & out but i've decided to shut down indoor for good now & stick with outdoors only tho in a greenhouse(next year when i get it built!) so i have some experience & knowledge but am always open to new ideas!
