Hey everybody....
I just got back into growing again thanks to recently finding out about autoflowers. Since I live so far north in the US that outside growing isn't really a viable option....autoflowers grown inside should fit the bill nicely! I'm in the process of modifying a cabinet for a 2 plant stealth grow--just germinating are WOS Northern Light x Big Bud auto and Heavyweight Turbo Bud auto. Anyway......I've got LOTS to learn and this place is a great starting point! Later......

Welcome to the family, you couldn't found a better place to learn!

Hey and Welcome!
Auto flowering cannabis is the (add your own cliche' here) But seriously, autos are great and if your growing an auto, this is the place to be. Plenty of friendly knowledgeable folks happy to lend a hand. Just ask or even better start a journal in the new growers forum. We'll follow along as you grow. Pictures too, I love pictures!!
Peace and happy growing.

Welcome Horten!

Welcome to the AFN family Horten!

Hope to see a grow journal from you soon my friend. We love to watch grows here, and learn from each other.

Thanks for the hearty welcomes everybody! I'm finding that I can spend hours and hours here soaking up the knowledge and experience from all the postings. While I COULD grow photoperiods theoretically.....my specific situation is just far more suitable for autoflowers. Before I had any knowledge whatsoever about autos I wasted a perfectly good Sweet Seeds Red Poison due to NOT knowing about transplanting! It only got to about 7" tall but is DID flower for me and I was amazed at the purple colors--I will definitely be getting more seeds of RP! What little I got from it was some excellent smoke, so I was convinced that potency is not a prob with autos.

Tomorrow I'll take a couple of photos of my Auto Anubis and Royal Queen Dwarf to show you where they are growth-wise. Both have begun flowering as they were germinated around Feb. 20 or thereabouts. For now I'll leave you with a photo of my T5 light fixture with all my adenium seedlings growing under it. I have a fair amount of experience using coco coir with my adeniums when they're very young seedlings--as they get older/larger they get switched to a "gritty" mix of mostly pumice and lava pebbles with pine bark fines and some coir added for organics and water retention. Anyway.....this T5 HO fixture with 12 bulbs (all 48" long) is my primary at the moment for my autos--though the Anubis has gotten too tall for it so I have it under 2 CFL's for now--these are 40W (200W incandescent equivalent) 2700K. Am seriously considering a decent LED to use, either by itself or (most likely) in conjunction with CFL's. Later!

Towards the middle of this photo you can see a plastic baggy covering a germinating seed.....just to the right of it you can just barely make out the leaves of my tiny Auto Anubis seedling. All the rest are adeniums except for the ones in the black tray to the right of the McCafe cup--those are pachypodium seedlings.

Ahhhhh, who am I kidding--I couldn't wait until tomorrow! Here's pics of my Royal Queen Dwarf (suffering my crude first attempt at LST) and my auto Anubis. The Anubis is all of 9" tall so far--both are roughly 5 weeks old.001.jpg002.jpg
