Hi peeps, UK guy, ageing stoner and soon to be empty nester
Only grown once indoors so new venture for me, just looking to grow for personal in a 2ftx2ftx 4 or 5 ft space.
Going with a migro 100 light, interested in extraction and filter advice 're. Low noise and good odour control. Also seed recommendations for a nice balanced and relaxing smoke. I have non hodgkins lymphoma, so there is a large medical element to my smoking.
Aside from that I'm a chilled, tolerant daft old git!
I like to think I'm ok with using forums as I was an XDA (android hacking site) thread monitor/uncle whose main aim was to promote civil behaviour and helpfulness.
So yes, I'll always try and find info before posting a new thread etc etc
All the best peeps and happy growing

Hi and welcome :pass:i wont pretend to know anything about themed side of things,im a recreational eejit. We do have a great med section.2x2 will be fine for personal a2x4 will allow more wiggle room.slace of that size cheapest 4” fan filter combo will do

Hi, thanks for the welcome and advice on filtration, size is going to be dependant on what furniture I can lay my hands on to convert! I may have 2 so I can start another mid cycle to crop every 5/6 weeks, aside from that I have a horticultural background so my basic skills should be ok and then I'll be into the refining my technique phase! Love the wealth of info here and people's (generally) helpful attitude! My kinda hangout! :pass::frog:

High bro and welcome on site!:pass:
Pick a silencer for ya exhaust fan to control noise. Good luck with all and if ya need help tag me like @TheMongol and don't forget to quote somebodys post, so he gets a notification.

Thanks bro, I'm working on an idea at the moment for the silencing, I've got a fan lined up so I'm going to test it and modify the silencer in advance. Stealth is the key criteria here!

I use a 4" attic exhaust fan with a high CFM and low dB rating, meant for bathrooms but works a treat and very quiet.

@Slaphead Welcome to AFN. To get someone's attention put the atmark @ in front of their name like I did for you.

I tried several exhaust fans before I settled on the HyperFan. Go bigger than you think you need. Then you can run the fan slower and quieter. It also has built in speed control that is really important in controlling the environment. It is very quiet but it still makes some noise. I built several silencers and non of them worked as well as this one.
