Your Equipment:
.1) Type and wattage of lights. (MH, HPS, CFL's, tube fluorescents, LED's)
LED Grow Northern MS0006
Good light
.2) Distance from tops?
2'
Good distance
.4) Is there a consistent fresh air supply?
Passive intake with circulation fan
Where is the intake coming from? Are the plants getting fresh air / new constant supply of CO2?
.5) Do you have an exhaust fan and a circulation fan?
Exhaust 80m/h and a desk fan for circulation
The exhaust fan sounds a little low powered. Generally the rule is something like, replace the entire contents of the grow space every 1-3 minutes.
Your medium:
.7) Specific brand and type of soil, (coco, peat based soilless...) and anything you've added to it. (vermiculite, perlite, worm castings...)
Celtic Gold probiotic compost 75% Perlite 25% Dolomite lime 2tbls
I would generally only grow with BioBizz soil or Plagron soil or Canna Coco Pro Plus. Right now I'm using Plagron Light Mix but I've also had great success with other Plagron Mixs. Next grow get yourself some Plagron soil mate but don't add any dolomite lime to it, it doesn't need it as it's pH buffered, which is one of the reasons why it kicks ass.
.8) Size of container.
10l Airpot
GOOD
Your nutrients and water:
.9) Source of water. (tap or filtered) What's it's ph?
Tap water left for 48hrs, ph 8.0
OK
10) Method of checking water ph. (ph pen, test strips, aquarium test kit...)
ph pen calibrated and tested
GOOD
11) Method of adjusting water ph. (phosphoric acid, white vinegar, hydrated lime, PH Up...)
Apple cider vinegar
Not good in my opinion but only because I've never used it. Get some proper pH down. I know lots of people use the natural stuff but I don't trust it
Do this test... put some apple cider vinegar in a jug or bucket of your tap water and leave it sit there for several days. Test the pH of the jug every couple of days and see does it stay stable or does it change. It's possble that when you add the cider vinegar the pH looks okay, but days later it shifts and that shift is happening in your pots.
12) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule.
Biobizz - Root juice, Grow, Bloom and Top Max
GOOD. I've used this before and have gotten great results. If that's the case get the BioBizz soil to match it! Email to BioBizz and ask them loads of questions, they'll help you out.
13) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering?
1l every 3-4 days
OK
14) Any additives or tea's? (Superthrive, CalMag, molasses, Mother's Earth...)
Calmag and foliar fed epsom salts
OK. Depending on your water levels you probably don't need to add Calmag or foliar epsom salts. Generally I would grow without them and only add them if you see deficiencies. Remember that having too much nutrients in the soil can also look like cal mag deficiencies but it could actually be lock out from too much salts in the soil. So generally I only add what I'm sure I need to add kinda thing. Also remember that dolomite lime releases calcium and magnesium into the soil, so you could potentially be over doing it.
16) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph?
Ingoing - 3 waterings, 6.5, 6.2, 5.8... Run off always 7.1-7.2
Just watch this pH situation. I'm not sure what the story is with the soil you use, but it could be the pH is slightly high because you're feeding at close to 6 pH and your run off is reading a touch over 7 pH which means that inside your soil is most likely a touch higher again. Soil pH range is generally best around 6.5 - 7 pH, with soiless mixes like Plagron Light Mix being better closer to 6 pH. Also remember Dolomite lime tends to raise soil pH slightly.
17) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray?
Foilar fed twice with epsom salts 2tsp/l
Twice a day, or just twice in it's life? I would foliar feed my plants a very light solution but once a week spray them with pure water to make sure they don't built up salts on the leaves blocking the stomata.
20) What are the temps and humidity levels while lights are on? ...With lights off?
Lights on 35% - 50% Lights off up to 72%
That's fine
Your strain:
22) What strain are you growing? (Indica dominate or Sativa dom?)
DP AutoMazar
Oh god that's a good plant. One of my best grows ever, love that plant
Tried everything I can think of to get the ph down, even flushed yesterday with 30l plain ph'ed water, 6.3, and run off ph is still 7.2.
Plant has chlorosis on all leaves but still seems to be growing.
Stuck now...any help would be greatly appreciated
In my opinion it's the soil you are using and the dolomite lime. Get yourself some proper BioBizz or Plagron soil next time, some proper pH down and ditch the dolomite lime.
Thanks folks
