I started this Hijack Automatic in Dr. Earth mild/neutral starter Soil. It did well initially through transplant (at about 10 days) and about two weeks after that. Once the roots started hitting the Ocean Forest soil I was using I started having problems: lots of nutrient burning, lack of growth, general failure to thrive, etc.
I flushed thoroughly and finished with Biobizz grow, some cal/mag and the plant recovered. Not only recovered but thrived and grew to 43" in height with a 3' diameter. I had to tie the top down as I ran out of room. I began adding Biobizz Bloom at about 5 weeks and it began flowering enthusiastically (up to that point it was showing no pistils).
This Hijack Auto is currently 47 days old and I've added bloom a couple of times with light watering inbetween but now the bud growth is down to a crawl.
The plant (despite its large size) doesn't seem to be using as much water as it was before and I hesitate to add anything while the soil is still so moist.
I'm also reluctant to add more nutrients as the fan leaves are starting to show more evidence of burn. Should I flush a second time and then feed?
Water is PH adjusted to 6.8.
Images show size of stalled buds and damage to leaves.
