Here is my himalaya blue diesel plant. It's today 6 weeks old (42 days). I've read about this plant that it was supposed to be no longer than 11-16 inches high but to my surprise this little baby has gone up to 32 inches (82cm)
It has been under a 18h light and 6h night cycle (I've read that this is the best for auto strains, pleas correct me if I'm wrong) and fed with veg-nutrients until day 30 and bloom-nutrients since 12 days ago.

I'll be posting more pictures every now and then and i was hoping to get a little bit of help to know exactly when it will be done and what to do towards the end of the plants life, since I've read that at some point you have to stop giving nutrients, and stop giving light for the last few days.

I am really not sure about what is the best way to treat the plant during its last stage. So with the help of you people Im looking forward to having a nice and tasty crop in a few weeks.

Also, i have noticed that some of the leaves are lacking of 1 part as one of the pictures shows. Any body got a clue of why it is like this? Also any ideas on why it sooooo big compared to what it's supposed to be?

Hope you enjoy the pictures and looking forward to your comments.:toke:

(if someone knows how to turn the pictures the right way pleas tell me)

Welcome egoitz! Lots of people here grow this plant, so I'm sure a more experienced HBD grower can give you some good advice. My opinion is that she looks killer!

You can check this out: Dark Period

Before uploading your pics, you can use the Windows fax and photo viewer, if your using windows?, to turn your pics and then save them before uploading. (My OS isn't in english, so I can't tell you the exact steps to follow) Or some other small freebie program that you can download?

Welcome in buddy. Looks like you have a beast on your hands. From what I gather, Muddy would be a great guy for you to talk to about that strain :peace:

good job, and good luck with the rest of your grow

day 49 himalaya blue diesel

Hi everybody, during this last week ALOT has happened to my little girl, and to tell you the truth, I'm still not sure how its going to turn out.
I watch the other day the ultimate grow dvd of Jorge Cervantes, and i came across this part where he was explaining what were the signs for having to repot the plant. He was going on about how levels of leaves are very separated an how the plant intend of producing more leaves it just stretches hard. I came to the conclusion that the reason why my girl is so tall is because of that, it could as well be the genes as dwhizzle74 pointed out but the pot where the plant was originally in was REALLY SMALL!! that is why i decided to repot it into a way bigger one.
The problem is that i do not know how much stress this gives to the plant. I did it as carefully as i could but after that the plant's leaves started to go down. The plant looked so sad, and with some signs of over-feeding i was kind of loosing hope. But since then i've quit the blooming nutrients and gave it pure water every now and then and it looks much much healthier than before, although some of the big leaves one the cola are starting to get yellow tips and curling downward. The funny thing is that since i repotted the plant new tiny leaves have started growing and in the matter of days they got pistils showing up which is AWSOME!!

I don't think the yield of this baby is going to be as good as i originally expected but hopefully buds won't be damaged and will still have a great smoke. I will definitely put bigger pots from start to finish for my future projects.
Also, Noods, i read the thread on dark period and I'm gonna go for a 2 day dark period at the end and see what happens and will leave for the last week cold airflow circulating around the plant since i know this baby turn to a really nice purple colour.

Also, lil upgrade on the plant by itself:
it's starting to smell really nice but not too much (you need to get close to the plant to be able to smell it), it has grown to 85cm (33in) and buds are developing nicely, they are getting bigger and bigger but just in the quantity of pistils, no fattening yet, but hopefully soon it will start to swell up nicely. Also, many pistils are turning oragish-brownish.

Hope you keep enjoying the thread and if you have any tips on what to do or want to correct me on something I'm doing pleas do so, since i only want the best for my girl :smoke:

By the way, thank you Noods for trying to help me out with the pictures, but I'm not using a Windows computer, and in my computer they are fine, its only when i upload them that the are sideways.
If anybody knows why this is happening and knows how to correct it then pleas tell me.
