@Bliciu86 Hey buddy, it would be cool to post pictures of the work in progress too.

Not only it's great for us who follow the thread to have some updates, but also to learn, and for the most advanced, give some insight on the project.
I'm going to take the plunge eventually, really want to build my own light. So I'm just tagging along to learn more.

Got a question about these HLG drivers… are they also able to power the fans? I really hate the design where you have one driver for the light, and an old nokia charger or whatever, for the fan. Takes too much plug real estate. I saw a video on youtube where a dude wired it all up to one driver.

I don't know m8 can u rUn them from hlg bt u can buy on ebay 2A dc 12v power supply like that

I'm just ordered the citizens clu048 3500k 90ri n hlg 240h 1400b gonna take some time to deliver bt that's give me time to build some frame install the fans just make it ready :)

Subbed up that's pretty much exactly what I'm about to try to build.
I wanted full passive cooling though but heatsinks are expensive:(

They can be put on the same plug but not the same driver. Your best to go with larger heatsinks and letting it cool passively. As long as air stays moving in the space temps of the heatsinks should remain pretty low. Believe it or not this is the main reason I don't like light engines. 2 drivers for a single cob seems kinda crazy to me. I do have the plan for a 150 watt single passively cooled cob coming up. No fans, completely silent and extremely efficient.

Slowly I getting my parts so quick updated how's my set up gonna look
