Boredom does strange things to me...
Surfing the net last night i saw an oil vape that has an aluminum body, a vial to hold concentrates and required a lighter.
They were about $60 plus shipping.
It was the Essential Vaaapp.

Luckily for me i own a lot of wood and metal working tools!!:D
Found a suitable chunk of aluminum to mess around with, a test tube from another project and some time to sketch up a rough design.:toke:

These are the bits i was thinking of using and a rough sketch

The brass tube may be in Version 2 or later, not sure yet!

Turned the body on the lathe

Then off to the mill to drill some holes

The test tube was cut with a disc in a Dremel like tool.

I though i had some high temp o-rings lying around but could not locate them. These may also be used in version 2 to hold the test tube in securely.

The very rough but functional oil/wax vape!!:toke:

The centre hole goes all the way through.
When i lod a tube i place my fingers over both holes to build up vapour, then open both holes and breathe in all the oil vapour!!
:poof: Stoned!!!

Oil tastes pretty good even though i made a QWISO wash from my ABV leftovers!
Going to try a run of QWISO using cured bud only, should be a lot better.

And effect wise?
My wife wanted to try it and she never gets that stoned feeling.
After two small hits and a wait of about 5 minutes she was sitting down, smiling with blood shot eyes.
She could not explain how she felt and could not get words out!
It was too funny!

And for everyone that is going to say that smoking out of aluminum is dangerous, i totally agree with you!
This oil vape only heats the oil in the test tube, the body is perfectly cool and never heats up.
If i get the design down i will make one out of surgical steel!

:peace:
