I'm growing a lowryder auto and its been really cold here lately and some of her leaf's feel dry I'm pretty sure its the cold but how cold is to cold?

What is the temp in your grow area? Autos grow best around 78F to 82f approx.

You could feed her some Botanical Silica Blast. Other brands carry a similar silica product.

This is only my first AF grow (second photo grow), but I've read it helps them handle heat and cold. I fed my plants 2ml/gal every other watering (I gave 2ml/gal CalMag+ the other waterings. I didn't want to mix them because I read they can interfere/block each other). I increased to 3 and 4ml silica as it began to flower, then stopped silica at exactly 7 weeks (counting the first seedling week.). It seemed like it helped the plants be harder. Leaves leathery, thicker stems. They've been down to 64 degrees at night, 78 during day. I didn't notice any visible problems. (Don't know if it slowed their growth. But, it looks like I'll get a decent yield from the auto in 3 more weeks.).

BTW: my auto is indica too. If it was sativa the colder temps might affect it more. I've read sativa prefers warmer temps.

I have let my lights out temps dip down to the 50s but it damaged the fan leaves. Made them crispy when the led's came back on. Now when im trying for color i keep them above 60 regardless.

Silica of some form will aid the in hi and low temps. X nutrients makes a affordable one ive been using for a while now. But any brand should work or you can look up how to source silica organicly. Like teas.

To echo the advice of everyone, SILiCa! Also bennies and mycos help their strength. I have had plants in the low 60s from start to finish, and veg growth was delayed by a week tops, for less than half the phenos. Others were completely unaffected. Picture of health. Some damage and signs of discomfort will rear their heads once you get into the low 50s. Their metabolism will slow as the temps get longer.

These plants will find a way to survive in almost any situation. Yield is another story. Keep the temps above 60 and you are fine. Make sure your root mass isn't on 20 degree concrete or icy water, and they'll be fine.

Keep an eye out for vapor pressure deficit which can occur easier in low temperatures, during the winter months in certain climates. That's the only issue I encountered, and quickly corrected it
