Lighting How do you choose your grow light?

A failing ballast on my hps system caused me to explore a change so I too began researching alternatives. I first bought a cheapo LED rated at 600w and when the ladies showed interest, I purchased another 600w LED-COB. Then I began reading more and more about Autocobs....so I bought one to add to my small tent. 2 months with LEDs proved themselves and now I'm checking out the Autocob.
Less heat to manage is a real plus to LEDs and COB.

I ended up going with the optic 4 with full cycle cobs. I really liked the coverage, the cobs with supplemental diodes and the built in timer. It’s been in my tent since Saturday and the girls seem to love it. The temperature in my tent has gone down between 3 and 5 degrees. My favorite part is no more blurple. Only time will tell but so far I’m impressed.
