How do you pick your studs?

I was curious what you guys looked for in males for breeding. So far I just pick most robust, with the plant structure I like..... Is there any way to tell potency trait in males?

males can make trics on the leaves and yes robust, and vigor are a big deal.. if you see one you like pick some sugar leaves and smoke them.. see how he taste, does he get you high? this how you find a stud to breed with.. does he smell good?

Yes it does in theroy!!! look close at the color of the sacks, some can purple and some can be reddish.. you know what means.. he has color traits..

@Sourdough this is "big" science and very addicting to get into.. breeders spend years and years doing just what we are talking about. there is no real blue print just the basics, the real biology and science starts and stops with you .. your advantage is reading as much as you can ...
