Approaching the end of my first grow, and I'm caught between chopping within the week or pushing flush to 3. Currently on day 67 (day 8 of flush). Planned to chop around day 73-74, but I'm having an issue with some of my plants maturing faster than others and needing to chop them all at the same time.

I'm having trouble seeing the trichs clearly with my 40x loupe, but from what I can see they appear mostly cloudy, with some clear and maybe some amber on the most mature plant. I prefer a more cerebral high, so I'm not too worried about getting amber trichs, shooting for mostly cloudy.

A lot of the upper fan/sugar leaves are yellowing, but the majority of leaves on the lower half of the plants are still green.

Dedoverde Haze is stated as being a 70-80 day strain by the breeder

This is the smallest and most mature lady, I have trouble picking out any white pistils, they've all browned and receded. She is really swollen and is the most dense by far. I took a sample from her on day 65, and was honestly happy with the smoke as is (which would obviously be even better after a proper dry/cure). Something tells me she could be chopped now or a week from now with little to no difference.

The other plants all pretty much look like this one, still lots of white pistils that are pointing straight out... But it appears that they're new and that they maybe they could be fox tailing?

Something tells me that chopping on day 73-74 or waiting another week and chopping closer to day 80 isn't going to make much difference...

Having trouble deciding on a game plan and I'm pretty anxious for some good smoke and to start my next grow!

The first I think you're game on, the second lot I'd want to let fill a little more. I'd stagger them..... Why do you need to chop at same time?

My tent is the only place that I really have to dry... I haven't noticed any of them put more weight on in the last 7-9 days, they've looked the same since around day 60. The pics don't do them justice, they're really fat and might not seem that dense since they're sativa doms, but I really don't see them filling out any more.

I'm thinking about chopping in 4-5 days because I don't see any benefit in letting them run longer, highly doubt they're going to put on any more weight. That will also make 2 weeks of flush, don't want to starve them for too long.

I have this "what if" complex going on, but even if day 73-74 is a bit early for some of them, thinking it's not going to make or break anything.

I dry in my tent. First grow chopped 4 different strains at a median point for all..... Now I dry above my lights, using double brown bags to shield from light (admittedly there's a heat issue at hotter times of year). I've been there tied into a long flush/cleanse too.... perhaps next time fill that with nutes a bit longer and see what that does. Also I believe if you've got substantial fresh pistils, each one fills a calyx so more weight if you wait...

That said, they look great. First grow... ENJOY!

I agree with Nammy, you could wait and get more amber triches, but they are also fine for the chop any time soon. Personally, I would wait a bit longer, but that is just me. A lot depends on weather you are at risk of bud rot or pests etc
Good growing chums.

BTW, have you lot done an intro yet? We would love to give you a belated welcome ?!?

eP.

Thanks for the replies everyone, gonna try to get a 60-100x pocket microscope tomorrow for a better look at the trichs. Having trouble seeing them clearly with this 40x jeweler's loupe, so hopefully that will help.

You could also harvest in stages. Take the toos and work your way down. Then you could dry above your lights while, hopefully, lowering the lights towards the lower buds and giving you plenty of room to hang the brown bags.
If you haven't chopped already.
Nice ass plants by the way!

Have your started to flush them? I would flush if your looking at chopping in a few days if you have not yet. They look pretty good but I cant see your trichs to tell ya if there ready quiet yet. If it was me I would let them go another week.
