Can someone please give me a rough idea as to how much you can get off an autoflower. Like my autos are heavy yeilders ... it's what the seed banks say. Roughly how much of a yeild could I get off each of my plants in great conditions and I'm also LSTing them. I'm using a 600 watt HPS.

This is my first grow and I'm just curious as to what to expect.

I know there's nothing for sure just from experience from LSTing autos.

Thanks ppl.

I came across this chart today. I don't know how accurate it is, as I'm working on my first grow now, but worth taking a look at.

How long is a string?

I have seen everything from 10 grams to just over 300 grams dry weight ofe ONE autoflower plant mate.

But weights around 60 grams to 100 grams dry is the most common i think, if i go by smoke and grow reports from this lovely site.

What strain are you working with?

If it's your first grow then expect very little, that way you won't be disappointed. Iv only done 2 auto grows and they were both around the same weight, but the strain and growing skills have a lot to do with yield

So many factors involved all you will do is raise your own expectations and they may fall short.

I would say about 30-40g per plant.
I would be happy with that but someone like TaNg pulled in over 250g of one of DPs.

Bit of a catch 22 isn't it...? You don't want to aim for a low yield, but also don't want to get your hopes up for an amazing one.

A choice between under commit and over perform or aim for the moon and if you miss you'll still land among the stars?

I'm aiming high for my first grow. If i can read someone's journal on here, and mimic their grow, or even improve on their setup i.e higher wattage of lights or whatever i don't think it unreasonable for me to aim for, on my first grow say 75% of the yield of an experienced guy by following in his footsteps.

Least that's what i'm telling myself.

There's only one problem with that gloom shade, you set you area up exactly like "tang" one of our best growers and your plants may look nothing like his. Temps, humidity, nutes and grower skill can all pay a role in final yeild. My first grow I got 2.4 ounces my second I got 8oz and maybe more this next grow. Its all about knowing how to work your area, yes you can setup your area just like someone else but I would say don't expect to grow like them until you got it all dialed in. Take your first grow as a learning experience yeild will fallow suit, learn to do everything right you can be pulling close to a pound every 70_80days.

I got 3 Purple Express pants 2 Blue Cheese 1 Ultra Lemon Haze. ..

I know less is more with autos. It's there any other tips I should know about guys. . Thanks ppl.

Be patient is my number 1 rule, don't rush giving nutes, and definitely don't rush chopping them down. Just be patient and let it grow

I guess time will tell. There's a lot that could go wrong. But I have literally dropped $3000 AUD on my setup in the last month. I have all the equipment I need, firm believer in if you're gonna do something do it right. Temps and humidity arent going to be perfect through early veg stage... I have a couple of 32C days coming up I can keep the tent under 30 but the rez temps are gonna bounce over 25C I anticipate. Entering second month of autumn soon so ambient temps are on their way down to a winter average of 16C. Checking PH while I eat my breakfast in the morning and PH and EC after work. Not that EC moves with 1 root in the water. I have calibration solutions now... not that my meters were out 1 week from new. I fully agree that experience counts for a lot more than information but I still feel quietly confident, that armed with the plethora of combined experience right here on AFN centered around the breeds I have chosen to grow, my first grow has the potential to be awesome. Though more and more I get the feeling I have gone too hard too fast with a 200cm×200×230 tent and 2 900w LEDs and a $380 light mover. And a 5 bucket DWC.

My aim is 5 zips per plant × 5 plants.

On the other hand... I could be ripping 5 boys out of my pots in a couple of weeks too...

Sorry if I ramble... its friday night and ima drinkin.
