I am looking at the dabpress 6 ton and the 10 ton driptech with the pump with gauge for personal use to press mostly fresh bud and dry sift kief with it. The 10 ton with the pump with gauge is like $120 more. Is having the gauge worth the extra $120 on there?

the 6ton is a bottle jack complete system 429 (built in safety)
10 ton is a ram jack 470 so needs an external pump (the gauge is kinda the built in safety) +135 = 605
worth it
some would say pre press bags and gubbins be needed to.
good luck n keep er lit
:pighug:

I believe this will solve all your problems...
For reference 1kN = about 225 lbs.

I bought a 12 ton dab press with the gauge I find it extremely helpful for pressing. Some bags need less pressure then others to work right that is what I'am finding out so to know where you are with pressure helps with that. Dab press bags are thicker and can stand a bit more pressure but using thinner bags at less pressure I get the same amount as thicker bags with more pressure. I would think over time you would figure it out with out a gauge but it helps to cut the learning curve IMHO.
