Lighting How much power is in my 4x4

240 PAR W gives you 800 PPFD at 4x4.
300 PAR W gives you 980 PPFD at 4x4. (this is upper end without added CO2)

Mine are just under 800 right now and getting cooked. I'm out of ceiling room too. Photos and autos are completely different.

So in other words 980 ppfd 300 watts will be fine in a 4x4?

If you have the option to start lower I would. If your buying a big panel I'd make sure you have plenty of height before ordering. My shorter plants are much greener and healthy while the taller ones are always calcium deficient and yellowish. This is while pouring in calmag. This is also only for cob watts and not for anything else. Blurple and hps I'd recommend 600 wall watts minimum

Wow..i did start out growing autos but been yrs ago.but i didnt realize they were that sensitive..obviously you buy better lights as time goes on..4×4 area?id slam a 1000hps in there today..i hav 2 1000hps in a 6×7 ghetto grow im doing now..

This may not be the case for everyone or every strain but I have grown this same mephisto seed 5 times now and under 3 different light intensities. All 3 crops under 450watts in a 4x4 were big but not nearly as healthy. 9.25oz was my last per plant average though. 1000w of hps is also like 500w of cobs. More light per watt equals less wattage to hit the target.

i hav to admit i been reading up bout cobs in they hav my attention now but the prices....ouch.im just fortunate where im located electric prices arent like europe..but you guys can get all the strains so i gues thats the rub.

For sure. It's around 75-100 per cob once complete. That's driver, wire, holder, thermal paste, cob, connectors, power cord, frame material, nuts and bolts. All those hardware store trips add up plus the time to build it. That's why these big cob light manufacturers do so well. Then the time to figure it all out. That alone takes months unless you use someone to just blast you off a parts list. Yet there are still plenty that will spend the time to do so. I don't have exact numbers on hps but after growing with it for a long time vs growing with cobs is say it's about 1/2 the wattage to equal the same yield. Which is also half the cooling. What I find funny is seeing guys buying 5 dollar seeds because they are cheap when they could get 2-3 times the yield and quality from a 13 dollar seed. It's a big fat waste of 70 days in my eyes.

so true..

I'm looking for options and opinions

I have a 2x4 x5'8
And a 4x4x6

X10 mysterious seeds

1 kind Led K3 L600

1 200 Watt Citizen CLU048 (4) COB Grow Light Kit

10 one gallon pots

How should I can configure this.

do you think that the cobs would be better in the 2x4?

All together in the 4x4( light can be dimmed)

Slip them up into groups of 5 per tent?
