New Grower How much water?

I searched the forum and I couldn't quite find an answer.
My seeds have sprouted and they are on their day 3.
How much water should I give them?
And does the quantity change over the time?

yes it changes over time. what kind of soil are you running what size pot light and what are your temps?

All will effect this.

What I do is i wet the soil when I plant the seed
keep the area around the seed wet with a spray bottle for the first few days. Just keep it damp.
I lay off the water about 4-7 days in as they do need to dry out. This will also make them shoot down roots to find more water
If in a 5 gal bucket full of ocean forest mix with a few other things I almost dont need to water for the first 2 weeks. and the first watering are very light.
Make sure you know the wet weight of your pots, as they get bigger and drink more you can tell by how the weight is different.

Less is more for the most part with everything.

I have found this to be a very good gauge in assessing how much water your plants need during their growth cycle. Personally I have also found that adding approximate 25% of the containers volume works well for me. Example 4 gallon container = 1 gallon of water.

You will get there with experience my friend, but as Hank said you certainly don't want to over water.. It seems like us new growers tend to over water when we first start growing.

You will want to use some nutes even if its miracle grow. I have seen autos run fine with only 2 light feedings of miracle grow tomato food.

If your running organic then no need to flush, if reg nutes then you may want to feed, then next water would be your flush. Its not so much a flush as its
just a good watering with out nutes.

Go light and easy and you should have a good grow.

yep that's about right I have a 18 day old nlb in 4 gallon bucket that weighed18.4 lbs dry and watered 1 gallon got about 10-20% runoff and got back to 18 lbs 6 days later but im guessin she will be thirsty again in 3 or 4
