New Grower How Runderalis traits effect potency of Autos.

Wassup guys well when looking through google trying to find some info on THC content of newer auto strains, i mostly just get links to other grow forums (im guessing photoperiod forums) where guys are just sayin how autos arent top shelf smoke and how the runderalis trait (which we no has very little thc) makes the THC content in autos significantly lower than in traditional photoperiods.

Now i know on attitude theres autos that are listed to have 18% thc such as the think different and the critical jack is said to have 21%. :thumbs:

now from what i understand thats more than some photoperiod strains. :cough:

now i started growing autos early last year and i know they been around way longer than that, were autos just way less potent in the beginning ? thats why i see people bashing them?

has constant cross breeding of various strains just caused us to have finally gotten to autoflowering strains that can give up to 20+ THC while still having the runderalis trait?

Are there any autofloweing strains actually being sold in dispensaries?

i love autos and theyre all ive ever grown im just curious to why i see so many people sayin there not as potent as photos?

im sure you guys can give me some input on this

and for the people that have grown both photos and autos your input on the difference between the 2 would be appreciated

? I have never had my weed tested but I can tell you if yougive someone some autoflower weed they can’t tell the difference.

They're misinformed, dated, afraid of change, and not grounded in the real world, lol.
Not saying that ALL auto's can hang with Good regular strains, but not ALL regular strains can hang with Good auto's.

thanks for your input man i agree on the nobody can tell the difference thing too, people were lovin some think different i grew awhile back that wasnt even fully cured lol

Theres some auto tested at 20%+ strength is relative as it depend how the chemical inside the plant some say ruds are higher in cbd and some find this a benefit over high thc

As autos are 90% photo strains in genealogy I doubt there resin is that much different anyway

Some of the breeders like to stretch the numbers a bit, and it also depends on how well you grow it too.

You hit it on the head Tav. Some people are misinformed and afraid of change - and if they're active on a forum where the majority are like that... well I suppose they don't see the need for change either (though some might term that complacency born of arrogance - something that has a habit of coming round and biting you on the arse sooner or later).

Well i've smoked for 25 years and this year is the 1st time i've tried autoflowering cannabis and i can honestly say the strength of the high is comparable to any photo strain i've tried. The only slight possible difference i've noticed is that the duration of the high with auto's may be slightly less but for me thats a good thing in that i'm not zonked for hours with the same high, i can pick one of the strains i've grown have a nice smoke enjoy the high for a couple of hours, come round to normal again and sample the high of a different strain and notice the difference between the 2 strains immediately. As a new grower i'm attracted to auto's because i'm growing for variety rather than yield and in such a short amount of time i can amass a nice selection of different flavours and highs! I've also come to the conclusion that Auto's are VERY forgiving to noob growers like myself my 1st grow suffered a catologue of mistakes,stresses, and all out abuse but i still ended up with a satisfactory harvest of beautiful crystal covered bud which is putting a very large smile on my face right now!:dance:
