I recently got my first LED lights with separate switches for veg and bloom.

I'm thinking start with only veg on and then add bloom and have both going during the flowering phase.
I could also just go from start to finish with both on, as I've done before using lights that didn't have this option.

I was just wondering how, or more importantly when if ever, do you change which ones you have on/off?

These wonderful plants don't need as much light in Veg, which is why many manufactures build them with these switches(Blues for Veg - Reds in flower). You can certainly run them continuous or only use the VEG lights until they hit flower, then run them continuous, if you are on a budget and have to keep costs low, this is the way to go. I like a 18/6 light cycle, I am in the camp that believes a rest cycle is needed by these plants, even autoflowers, in my grows I often experience growth during the dark periods.
