I've seen a lot of different formulae for this in the past, is there now a generally accepted method for GPW calculation in autos ?

i think it would be more accurate with autos as i could veg a photo that normally produces 2 ounces into a beast that produces 12 ounces , time must be factored in and anyone saying otherwise will never know the truth when they figure their numbers

Cheers Bob. Ye my thoughts exactly on time, i think with photos the generally accepted formula only uses flowering time, as far as i can see from searches.

and see , thats whats wrong , i could use 1000 watts over a vegging photo plant for a year before going into flowering , i could also flip the same strain at the same time that only vegged 2 months , what plant is going to yield more ?

but what plant used more light in that year+

even sister clones with different veg times will yield completely different amounts , there for it should be total watts X's hours used then divide (or whatever here) that by total grams

to make a long story short it should be calculated by total time of growth , not just flowering , and some people do it this way , they are the people that i like to say "do it right"
