Lighting Hps or mh

I recently acquired a hydro light I'm new to growing indoors and I don't know how to tell if it's a mh or hps it emits a bright blue light

Id say MH but not 100% see what the others think first.. Is there no packaging with it?

Probably MH. There should be a manufacturer and some numbers on the base. If so, check with the mfg.

Thanks! Now if it is mh can I use it both for veg and flower right now I have it about 15 inche away

plants will use what ever you give them if your ballast runs hps as well its worth changing over at some point
when you buy a new bulb
