I'm growing an Afghan Kush Ryder and its looking pretty great right now, but I just want to know when I should start adding nutrients to the water?? I think its still too young to start but I just want to know ahead of time. I only have 1 little root in the water right now hahah Its a good feeling im so happy :)

Anyone like Dyna gro or what do you suggest?

about the time it gets its second set of leaves you should start adding nutes. I'd start at 1/4 strength. Wait about 7-10 days then go to half strength. You need a ppm or EC meter to really do it right. 600-800 ppm in veg in fine. some will tolerate more but its really not neede3d. In flower try to push them a bit more up to 1000ppm. I found mine didn't like it over 900 ppm.

Okay so its that time to start feeding both my plants thanks for the help Pop! what is a PPM meter or EC meter it sound important, and should I wait till I get one to feed the plant?

PPM/EC are used to measure the strength of your nutrients and to check the base mineral content of your water. For most hydro applications you check your water first. Ideally you want it to be around 100 - 150 ppm before adding your nutrients. If it's low, a cal/mag supplement is used to raise it. You'll also need to know the pH of your water. For hydro it should be around 5.8. So a good meter that will measure both pH and ppm/EC is a must have.

Yeah I have a PH tester but not a ppm/ec meter so I need to get one asap

You won't regret it. It will make managing your system a whole lot easier and should you run into any issues, will be a big help in diagnosing the problem.

Muddy you always come in and save the day for me hahah thanks again, and Pop thanks for your help as well!
