Grow Mediums Hydro Questions

I have a question for your hydro experts. will the beneficial microorganisms found in organic soil survive and grow in a hydro system? also has anyone tried this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnNY3pfPLsA it looks like it may combine the benefits of hydro and soil. on the other hand it may give the worst of both world. any opinions on this ?

Hi mauricem00, I had not seen that video. Interesting it's hydro in soil. It seems like it might be easier than strait hydro in that it probably requires very few nutes and less water. With strait hydro the growing medium is much easier for me to dispose of. I like the stealth of it.

Interesting video but i think straight hydro would outperform that system and be less complex.

You can buy organic hydro nutes.

You could try growing a lettuce or some herbs in a tiny hydro using the nutes and see if it works ?

I was actually looking at these 3 bottles at the store today I think Im going to try them out next harvest
