I can't find this deficiency on the chart

I have a pretty decent meter, it will measure temp and all modes of water quality, ec, an, ppm, ppt. I've been following the advice of starting the seedlings out at 0.8 and adding 0.2 each week so I'm at 1.6 now so it's taking full strength of everything to get to 1.6 now. What ec should I be at now at week 5 and increasing each week? What ec should I max out at?

Thanks muddy,

Smeggy

I did a rez change today for both plants to bloom nutes. As advised, I added 3ml of Calmag to get to 0.2 EC, then 18ml PH perfect sensibloom a + b, 8ml of Big Bud and 8ml of Voodoo Juice. So, the total EC is now 0.9 for both plants.

Need some advice as to what the EC should be at week 5 and what it should max out at.

Here are more pics of this deficien which has spread to 60 day wonder even after lowering calmag to 0.1 ec before adding nutes and lowering total ec to 0.

I'm going to prune these plants of fan leaves hiding bud sites.

Looks like calcium deficiency. I don't know about hydro or ec. Would it be possible to foliar feed? Perhaps a mineral rich supplement like Alaska Kelp? Or, maybe it's possible to foliar feed the common calmag supplements?

I've had good experience with foliar feeding epsom salts and Alaska Kelp (and MorBloom) when my plant was fading fast due to nutrient lockout. I'm still doing it as the soil condition improves. I do 1/4 to 1/3 tsp each in a pint spray bottle.

I haven't tried foliar feeding calmag because I didn't have the brown speckles related to calcium deficiency. I've read people say they foliar feed it at 1-3ml per liter.

Dwc grow

I was up to 3x calmag recommended dose when this started. Some suggested lockout of nutes due to too much calmag. I had very light calmag def on my first grow with this same strain and it wasn't like this. It was classic calmag def like the chart

Hi Smeg- ...love the avatar, reminds me fondly of my early childhood dog, who was my eternal shadow and partner in preschool mischief! :roflcry:
>>> this might be a job for foliar ( good call az2000).... This I can help with, but having never dome DWC, I don't know jack-squattery about the dosing and lockout potential, barring a serious pH issue and/or nute overload that creates the lockout,... doesn't sound like the case here,... maybe just serious demand, which certainly can happen, especially at this stage! Ca-Mg foliar spraying is doable at this point, and best thing about it is that it's the fastest way into the plant, and it bypasses the root/medium altogether... Which supplement do you have? Is it just Ca-Mg, or is there N in there as well? This info will be helpful with adjusting the conc. of the spray; also, a water spreader/wetting agent is a very important part of any foliar spraying; this stuff takes the surface tension out of the soln., so it coats more evenly instead of just beading up... simply put, the more surface area covered, the more gets absorbed,... get us the info, and we'll get the how-to dialed in for you,...

Hi waira,

She was my shadow as well, even when she went blind in old age she was right by my side.

I'm using this supplement. Should I just go with the recommended dose on next res change of 6ml for 6l of water. 1 ml per litre.

Here are better pics of this def. They have spread to sugar leaves. Lower branches aren't affected.

It seems like this plant grows and eats slow. Set the EC last rez to 0.8 and the next day it's only down to 0.7. Tips are a bit burning now plus these dam spots.
