New Grower I got a question about ph

Sounds like you're using similar to the Lowe's guide I have up above. For pH up and down baking soda and lemon juice work but they're not very stable. It's good if you're in a bind but it does have a good amount of sugar in it. Vinegar works as well but again is not very stable. Using either of these applications for pH down is only advised in soil situations and not for a long period of time. You're better off getting your soul to adjust itself and be more stable by adjusting your lime content. How are you testing your pH currently?

How do you know your water is shit? Plants some times enjoy hard water.

Well water is great, in my experience it's the best - but bottled water can be worse than tap because it's often stripped of nutrients. Are your plants starting to look messed up? Can we get some shots of the plants in question?
