Im an indoor grower, so this is a bit unnerving, lol.
I've started started them in my tent alongside a couple others finishing flower. My intention was to keep them in the tent until flower ( or until they're too big).

When putting them outside, should you acclimate them to the sun by preventing strong mid day sun for the first few days( like turning up a grow light slowly when switching to flower)?

Whats the lowest temp you can leave them outside at night?

Strains are Northern Lights and White Widow.

heya jaygee, been a min ;) if they're already established in veg, they really don't need a lotta acclimation...they luv the sun :cool1: as far as nite tempz, they'll do ok down to 50f, even 45, especially the NL  ppp

Hey it's been a while!
It's been 45f lately over night, even lower. Sigh. Weather seems maybe to pick up to lows of 50 or so.
Was wondering if its worth it to bring them inside, cover them, or just let em ride lol.

Sounds like we could be neighbors...

At those temps, I would bring them in at night if for no other reason than to prevent the soil/medium from cooling off so much overnight. My thinking is that they should do better earlier in the day if they start out with warmer roots. Just a theory mind you.

Good luck with the outdoor gambit. :pighug:

I have a White Widow auto outside for two weeks now, last night it got down in the 40's and the night before into the high 30's and it seems to be doing fine. I have around eight other autos of Northern lights and Blueberry strains outside that are just seedlings and were put outside after their first week.

I also have five photo plants outside that were transplanted about a month ago and I had to cover them once with tarps and plastic sheeting when the temperature fell to 32 degrees.

The photo plants have shown no ill effects, I have had to top them twice as they are growing out of control even with some low nighttime temperatures. I hardened them off outside when it was still having snow occasionally before transplanting. I would put them outside in full sun during the daytime and bring them inside as the sun was going down.

I'm above the 45th parallel. Just my experience, but autos take longer outside but I have gotten 4 to 6 oz's out of outside autos that I planted inside in June and moved outside in the third week last year. I didn't even use my big tent this year, just a small 2x4 foot tent to start seedlings in and then moved them outside as soon as they got their first two regular leaves starting.

I guess I should go out and check if they survived last nights cold weather.

Thanks for the reply! I brought them in when it went below 10c. Luckily it's been warmer than that over night lately. Not as sunny as I'd like, but I guess thats nature for you.

Here they are today
