Good eye cres! I put them there for LST, i am going to use insulated copper wire and I thought that the bolts would be good to tie the ladies down.

ASpeakin of the ladies(sorry no pics as yet) but the ASM after some prodding, has raised her head above the surface!

So then there were TWO!!!! Gonna put her in the bucket in the morning with the same nutes, pH as her BB friend. Thanks for stopping by

Just checking in & getting subbed, INH. I always have a DWC grow in the back of my mind, so it's good to see one from the ground up. I'm sure you'll do fantastic with it. :smoke:

how you going to look in the bucket? if you cant take the lid off...?

its going to be a challenge!!! I'll have to untie the wire, but that is one of the reasons that I am going to go with the copper wire it will be easier to take off just bend it around the bolt again. At least that is what i hope:p

ASM showed its 1st little set of true leaves and is going in the bucket tonight, she is two days behind her future roomate

why not attach the tie downs to washers, put washer over bolt thread, pop a wingnut on and BAM,easy on,easy off.

just my 2c :)

Got a few days till I have to cross the LST bridge, lots of good ideas to consider...THanks:D

In my DWC I have a tomato cage drill three holes in the top of the bucket lid...insert cage and bend over legs under the top...30 sec of work and your plants dont tip over and you can tie off to it. I will never do DWC again without a cage...

here two great vids..

WOW did you check out the root ball on that plant? I guess with the photos that would be normal, Thanks for the video tip cres much appreciated!

Well here we are with an update, by my clacs this puts the ABB at 1 week due for a Res change, and she got it. This week she is sitting at 5.8pH and .62EC I still have her on 1/8 strength Sensi grow A and B with full strength root stim and now added 1/2 strength sensi Cal/Mg Grow.

Both of the plants now have roots in the res and in a couple of days I'll change the ASM's res as well. She is slightly behind the ABB but rootwise, she is coming on strong. She might be doing the Butterfly thing that dOt's plant did, we'll see what will come of that in the next update;-)

I am really happy that the pH has been stable, but the temps are rising and I am going to have to get the res a little cooler, but everything seems to be going ok so far, any comments or suggestions esp regarding cooling the DWC are more than welcome:thumbs:

Here are the pics:D
