I am looking to grow my own auto strain and I was wondering about lighting. Is there an indoor strain that will grow good with me just using my window sill. My windows open and I get awesome sunlight during the spring and summer months( enough that I never use lights 6am-10p)? PLEASE DONT THINK IM STUPID JUST WONDERING!!!! I have read everywhere about auto flowering and since its not based on lights as far as growing (so I've heard) I was just wondering!!! thanks for you help in advanced.

I did some Window-Grows with a west-facing window. Got between 5 and 10g per plant. If you have a south facing window and keep it open in summer your results should be better.

My window is facing south-west. thank you alot
If it's a south facing window and you get direct sunlight most of the day you could get a decent grow.Give it a try and let us know how you do.

First of all welcome to AFN! Alot of very good growers on this site that can answer all of your questions.. unfortunatley I am a new grower and I am still working on my first grow.. take a look in my sig! :smoke:
I did quite a bit of research when I decised to make the plung into the autoflower world.. and just from research I gather it is definatley possible to grow in your window sill, but for nice, dense, high grade dank... I would suggest a controlled enviorment where you can control exactly how you want the enviorment she is in 24/7... If you going to spend the time growing it, might as well get the full potential out of her.. I'm sure you would hate to waist 3-4 months on 5g-6g's of doe-doe!! Just my

I have another question besides my window question I just has anybody ever used herbieheadshop.com before? If so are they trust worthy?
What is the best strain to start with for a first time? i was thinking about dna genetics 60 day wonder, has anybody tried that before?
What should I get as far as soil, pots, nutrients, ph testers, etc. a good start of kit if you will.I just wanna know so I can get everything by the weekend. I live in the states who will send me seeds.

Testor is talking sense, and your lighting shoud be good enough for a simple grow.
If you are looking for something with a low profile, I would think a Betty Boop would be a good choice for a "sill grow" It doesn't get too big, and from what I hear an awesome medicine.
When you comes to soil and pots, I guess it would depend on how much time and money you want to spend. Are you planning on adding nutrients to your grow?

Here was my first ever attempt @ growing.. I chose DNA 60Day Lemon Auto, but was shipped 60Day Wonder... Got to free beans out of it!!
