New Grower Interested in growing

these guys will point ya in the right direction....i dont know much since im new but theyve all helped me out in one form or another...i got a 00 choc skunk right now ...if shes any indication youll need room or read up on som lst...shes growin fast and large and seems to like the lst...sexed in 2 weeks from seed too...and she already is starting to smell so keep an eye on that....peace and good luck man:smokebuds:

Aw man I didnt know the smell would be that strong. I guess I'm lucky cause all my neighbors are smokers, but I still want to keep my growing quiet(keep away the beggers) how big is your baby the choc skunk

this was this morning...ive tied her down some more since the pic....somewhere around 20" wide already and shes already throwing more pistols like crazy only fed 0nce at 1/4 strength with bubbled water....ive got some auto pounder aswell and shes way bigger than they were at this age and shes outgrown some of my other strains that are around 2 1/2 weeks older lol under ho t5s....shes a skunk for a reason..

Hi. What are your desires of the strain? On window still something dwarf and if you want succeed on the 1st try maybe feminized and short flower? Filling those to ie. Herbies you get these strains.

Hey there Wishingonabud you can research a little more and find some strains that don't smell to much until they are harvested. I started a thread in the DIY section on building a grow box and some of the other members on here gave me some suggestions on strains that had little to no smell so you can check it out and I know there are others on here that can help you as well.

I'm still looking around have not decided 100% yet on anything but I do know what I want out of my bud:
1. something that is small but will give me lots of bud (if that's possible):drool:
2. something that is easy to maintain and grows fast ( I want to grow spring through summer) then back to school I wont have the time to grow and take care of anything but my pets.
3. something that I can smoke and still be focused and not paranoid at all.
4. something that I can clone. :helpme:
5. something that can help will pain relief especially for women cramps.:grat: (my girl cant smoke when she is in pain) but her mom says that some strains actually relieve cramps.
6. high thc levels
I know I want to grow lots but i want to try one seed first and see how well I do.

and since I'm here and my girl and I keep debating some things let me ask you guys since you know more that she does LOL
1. Can you in fact clone autos
2. If I grow and my girl turns into a hermi what can i do with her if i let her grow
3. can you smoke a hermi plant
I will worry about cloning when I get to that point I just want to know if that is possible.

You can clone autos...BUT cloning wont give you results as the clone will flower at the same time as the mother plant you took the clone from. You only get runts from that and in most cases you can not take a clone from the clone. Making Seeds is easy fun and opens up a whole world of interesting opportunities (and the only practicable way to reproduce autoflowering cannabis).

-For 1,2,5 and 6 I would recommend a nice Indica hybrid. Keep in mind that the same strain works sometimes different on different people. Hopefully some of our Members with medicinal experience will chime in.

-For 3 in general you want a Strain with a high percentage of Sativa genetics.

(just a rule of thumb)

On the Hermie question. In general if you buy Seeds from a good Breeder/Seedbank and you dont stress your plant with for example too much nutes, bad temperatures or lack of light you very seldom get an Hermaphrodite.

-Yes you can smoke a Hermie.
-You could try to prune ALL the Male flowers and get good Seedless Bud. That is doable for one plant IMO.
-You could let Him/Her do her thing and get Seeded Bud with Seeds that will likely Hermie too. You can smoke the seeded Bud but it will have a very weak effect.

Welcome to AFN. I use OSSC, free seed with order and US mail delivers to my mailbox. Herbies has better prices. World of seed, Royal Queen have some easy to grow girls (easy bud really is easy). Most potting soils will work, look for soil with starter ferts. The pot you grow will have 50% or more THC than the street shit, 15-20% THC compared with 8-12%.
