Hey auto420grow, for future grows. You can just take sample buds off, I do it a lot. The plant WILL NOT stop growing. The other buds will fatten up like they should. Some might even get fatter than they should, do to the samples you took off, the other buds will get more energy. Enjoy your harveststylez rasta smoke

I quick dry with a hair dryer. There was a picture of that somewhere here from before ... Hahaha. As said- they won't quit growing if you nip off some lower buds for "emergency"
The two theories for a staged harvest are kind of
A) take off the colas- leave the popcorn etc to ripen
B) take the popcorn early to maximize the potential of your tops
I've done both- and will use both again, it's situationally dependent- based on what I think the plant will do best with- etc.
And then of course - nipping a little popcorn to get you through the dry spell. Best of luck.
