Is my girl is dying??

:toke: Budz- something has f'ed the roots, so they stopped taking up nute's-.... the plant is so deep in the hole now, it's hard to say symptom-wise, what started first,... I can't see what went wrong, though I'm not a hydro guy, so I'll ask a mate to pop in and see what he thinks.... looks like she had a good start-? Them hit a wall!,...if your pH has been that stable, and nute's haven't gone bad, or mis-dosed--
:smoking: @Grim Reefer, please have a look,....

Yeah somethin don't add up, if @Waira is stumped scrap it and start over. @Grim Reefer could come in and save the day but IMO that plant is beyond saving. IF you did bring it back the yield would be so impacted by this stage of life it would counteract growin it in DWC

I agree. I think you can save it with multible flushes but your yield will suffer greatly.
Imo

Not a hydro grower either but agree with the thoughts on scrapping her. If you can save her then she's too far gone to make a meaningful grow from her in my opinion :(

So I would say, finding & correcting the issues would just be for the sake of sorting her out as an experience curve :(

A little info first.
Dwc tub. Completely light proof. Water chilled to 66°. Commercial size air pump. Using great white, hydroguard, and flora trio nutes. Room temp between 75 and 84. Mars hydro reflector 48.

After 1 successful harvest, I can not seem to get my girl to grow. This current, and 1 right before this one, have ended with the same results. I am also adding cal mag.

Seed is blimburn sweetie auto. Planted in RW ph'd to 5.5 prior to planting. She is now 23 days old from sprout.

Pph is steady at 5.8 - 6.2.

Only thing that has not been optimal is the RH, which has maintained itself at 27-32°rh. Could this be the cause of my problems???
That plant is to far gone. You are better off starting a new grow maybe in soil,it's alot easier.

This a pic of roots. 1468181026594-1974316737.jpg . I am going to scrap her as i agree the yield would not be worth it. But i would like to know the cause as this is the second failed seedling.
Is there anything i should do differently this time around?? Such as sterile instead of bennies?
My res stays around 66°. And if sterile, any preferences to bleach or h2o2? As in how much and how often. Thank you for all the replies so far.

Nowwwww I get it, yeah bro organic hydro is probably the hardest thing I have ever tried to do. It is just too hard to keep in a sweet spot. Scrap all that ish and sterilize with bleach first then h2o2 and I mean clean the ever lovin piss out of it. Then use dish soap and water THEN rinse it and this means everything my dude every hose, washer, fitting and nut, your pumps literally everything gets torn down and cleaned. You can even put all the little parts in a bathtub with a mild bleach solution.

Then get you some regular old nutes that aren't organic and use them. If you really want to make it fool proof get you the pH perfect line from advanced nutrients because you don't have to worry about pH.

I am using general hydro flora trio.
After its all cleaned up. Would you suggest that i continually run h2o2 in my res? Or is a bit of bleach preferred? I have used h2o2 in treating root problems. But as a preventative? I have never tried. I have also run bleach in my res with no ill effect. Not a lot. But enough to sterilize the res.

I don't ever run bleach in the rez, you can use a little bit of h2o2 but I don't like to do that either. If you have enough have air in your rez and the temps are in check you should be good.

Why not use bleach in the res though. I grew up with a swimming pool, and all the plants growing near the pool got watered with clorinated pool water. All of those plants grew twice as large as the ones not getting the clorinated pool water. This is the only reaon that i question the no bleach in res thing. But as i said, i am no expert. Only 1 grow to harvest, And 2 fails.

it makes CAN make the roots really brittle, have you ever soaked a shirt in too much bleach and then it like crumbles, same thing can happen with the roots. they get all crispeh
