I have a 300w led that draws around 130 watts.
My grow room is 2ft by 2.5 ft or 5 sq ft.

I have one plant.

Do I need to make my grow room smaller so I have enough Watts per sq ft?

Maybe knock 6 inches off the width so I’m at 2x2 or 4 sq ft ?

Re 30-50 watts per sq ft rule

Over 1 plant that should be ok. Just adjust height to suit.

Ignore the 50 watt per square ft rule.
That is a suggested level for HPS lights and Photoperiod plants.
LEDs are more efficient at turning watts into actual light than HPS, so need lower watts per sq ft
Autos also need less light intensity as their 'day' is longer - they will use nearly the same amount of light, but lower intensity for longer periods (Daily Light Integral).
As @Rollin_along said, you should be good to go.
