Is subcool's super soil still relevant or outdated.

I dont know how you guys judge? I grew with just composted horse shit, blood, bone meal and dolomite added to loam. Is there a better recipe? please post it, I am looking to for a summer mix.

Ive grown dozens of 1kg+dry yield plants with only well rotted horse manure and dolomite lime.

You should have a look at clackamasscootz just Google that name tonnes of information should come up about no till and living soil.
Your looking for their most recent mix of soil.

I have taken a little break from growing but my last grow one of the plants was in super soil and the other 3 were all different mixes to see what would work best. I was growing photos though as super soil dose not work for me on auto. I had 4 plants in a 4 X 4 tent with a 600W HPS. I mixed the super soil light at about only 80% strength and pulled 6 ounce from just that one plant. I mixed it using only one bag so instead of using 10 ounces of bat guano, bone meal and blood meal I used 8 ounces of each per 1.5CF bag of soil. I think doing the full recipe I would have done better as I have used this recipe a few times so far. The super soil mix was my largest plant. I use 10+ gallon pots though and mix it 1 bag at a time for 2 plants and run the pots 1/2 full of super soil but only use on photos. It works great and my best product is from photo grows in super soil.

For autos though I am playing with my own just add water soil mix and my best quality and largest harvest are also from just add water like super soil but my own mix. I don't worry about PH, feeding and get more consistent grows. We have some great organic growers on here with some great recipes you can start with but super soil has been too hot for me for autos. Mostly the nitrogen in the super soil has been the largest problem for me. My best flavor/potency has been with this method. Once you get this down you will not look back. I only add water from beginning to end now and adjust my mix for the next grow to perfect now. One word of advice is use water that has no chlorine in it. I use bottled water, you don't have to though and just letting your water sit out for a day or so to evaporate the chlorine should work fine but don't use strait city tap unless your in an emergency and the plant is going to die it's so dry.

I like to use steer manure instead of blood meal for my nitrogen source as it is cheep at only $2.50 a bag and I still have the same bag I bought about 1 or 2 years ago. It goes a long ways and I still have about 1/2 a full bag. It has a lot of nutrients in it and works good for me as I don't use worm castings. When you mixing soil your going to need ( Lime, epsom salt and some type of mineral. I use Azimite for my trace minerals. These 3 things are a must for me. ) No mater what I use for my N,P,K I always use 3 to 4 table spoons of lime, 2 table spoons of epsom salt and 1 table spoon of Azomite per 1.5 CF bag and use this mix in the bottom half of a 10 gallon pot. I probably use more lime than I need but it works for me. I am switching to 5 gallon pots to see if I can up my yield per cubic foot of space though and going to try filling my 5 gallon pot only 1/3 full of my mix.

I would start at copying some ones recipe on here and making adjustments as needed due to the strain your growing. Make sure you take the time to let your soil cook though. I let it sit at least 30 days minimum. I just mixed my next batch though for my next grow in July. Letting it sit for a few months is better than a few weeks.
