if this one is no good what is the best solution on the market to fill that space if money were no object but i want to keep wattage below 250w actual draw.

NB> this is a flower chamber for autos, i have a vege chamber with blue cfl i use for the first 3-4 weeks.

any input appreciated guys.

thanks

Price seems about right mate going with ebay and amazon. Although if you want to keep below 250 actual draw you could go with mars2 400w and still be. Or even 450w reflector series but its 250-280 actual draw. But youre talking double the price

ok cool. not sure i want to go any bigger as i think with LED all they do is increase the surface area and make a bigger footprint, the light is no brighter. from what i understand. correct me if im wrong though.
this one says it will cover an area of 1.5x1.5 ft in flower, which is about the size of the one well trained plant i have, so im not sure if i need to go any bigger?

No man if your sticking to 1 plant im sure the 300w is your best bet

yeh , its just for the one plant, but it is just for flower.

i was at the hydro store today and he said that type of light is no goo for flower,? i dont really believe that , but do you think that given i have a vege chamber with blue cfl there are better options in terms of LED to flower only under. i dont really want to spend more than £100, and this one seemed cheap for what it is????

I think the guy at the store doesnt know what hes talking about, that or they dont sell led and want you to buy what they're selling! I personally use a 600w hps but hope to change to an led when i have the spare cash.

I dont think its a great choice for a single plant in flower. Great light for the price
If you need any more advice mars hydro has its own section in the market place here on afn. You can buy from them direct on here just pm tina. Might be slightly dearer but i think they give you a full 2 year warranty

Also check out the led section and see some of the great plants the guys here grow under led.
Best of luck mate

That three hundred watt light is great for flowering it will produce huge amounts of resin very frosty plants I have a generic three hundred watt lih and my wife and I notice a difference when a plant is grown under it. With a good feeding schedule and temps and RH spot on you can grow 100 plus grams with a 300 watt led old school version IMO

I have flowered plenty of plants under that exact light. I think sanguine is right he is just after selling his stock I would buy it excellent light for the money don't think 1 unit will cover 1.5mx1.5m I use 2 in 1mx1m good luck once you go led you won't look back

Sadly this is NOT the same MarsHydro 300 old model that you may have. I have 2 300w old models and the one listed by dendrite007 is NOT the same. MarsHydro now uses the 300w LED as their eBay/amazon price wars game. They don't even offer them on their company website anymore. If you notice in the listing that dendrite007 posted it only has 1 cooling fan vent. Also the real wattage is all the way down to 125/130watts on the original 300w old model the real wattage was 180watts. Overall size is much smaller as well(shorter). On one of the other growing forums the MarsHyro rep states "product is of much lesser quality". Glad I got one of the last REAL old models before they changed designs.

Good work bunz I couldn't follow the link I was speaking generally the mars hydro are good units didn't realise the difference between
