I am having some family visit for a few days-unexpectedly- and I would like to harvest my plants to avoid any awkward conversations if at all possible. I can cut them down and hang them to dry elsewhere if they are ready, but moving the entire plants is pretty unfeasible. Can you guys give me your opinion on how close this plant is to being ready for harvest? IMG_20150422_130537.jpg

No she's not ready.Lots of pistols showing and buds starting to form. How many plants do you have?

If it were me, I would run her maybe another 7 - 10 days. The leaves have still got a lot of life in them. She could pack on the pounds (or grams) yet. And as Nammy says, the pistols are far from golden in colour.

If you absolutely must chop them. It will still be a decent smoke. But it could be so much better. It will also stink while drying !

Tell the relatives you have chicken pox.

Thanks guys! I lined up a forever home for them since forever in this case is about a week.

ya gonna be able to have them take a leave of absence for a week eh?ya get to get them back then and not chop em?thats extra awesome man if thats the case! youll be Sooo much happier ya did too.happy harvesting man!:Hookah:

I would chop the day before they arrive, cut your losses with extra yield. However if you trust your canna sitter then they can continue there. Sometimes canna sitters can cause unexpected issues.

Good luck
