Hey ladies and gents just wanted to get an opinion on if you guys think these girls are ready though come down. Two sativa Jack herer autos and two indica OG Kush autos.

ILGM seed bank says 70 days and 80 days, respectively.

I'm on the 95 right now.

I feel like I may have let my sativa go a little bit too long and have about 50 to 60% Amber trichomes, but I don't like too psychoactive of a high due to anxiety and paranoia and over talkativeness I feel like I just get exhausted lol. So I think I'm okay with letting the sativa hit around 50% Amber..

And my OG Kush indicas. Not quite satisfied with their level of Amber at this point. I feel like they might have five or 10 more days to go. I'm looking at mostly clear with a little bit of browning. Maybe like two or three Amber trichome heads per field of view between 60 and 120 x magnification.

I haven't watered or fed in about 6 days and was hoping that they would get the message in pull their nutrients due to starvation. Also, due to the time of year here in Southeastern Michigan, cooler weather and dewy overnights, I haven't been watering here in week 13 or adding more fertilizers, because I've made the choice not to flush. My soil is legit uniform and drains well.

Any opinions on the phenotype of Jacks and OG's and Readiness would be greatly appreciated in relation to some of these photos. Thank you very much. Great community! Love the app!

First six photos are the jack, last six photos are the OG.. I've been overly handling them so definitely seeing some trichome abuse. It's my first grow and pretty much just experimenting and seeing what it's all about and what to do better for next harvest. I have a bubble gum inside the house that I have topped and is kicking ass and should be fruitful.

All those plants look like healthy, happy and they're still growing flowers. I see the amber on the Jack in the 1st picks but I don't see any fading and the last two pics still have another month and a half of flowering to go from what I can see. I'd feed and water em' and continue watching them bulk up but I've never grown jack before so maybe someone that has will steer you in a better direction. Good luck!

Hey smoke em' thankyou for the response. What do you think of the middle set of photos (og kush indica)? After the foot photo, but before the indoor gallon.

I thinking about leaving them another 5-7 days. Weather here is highs 72ish to lows 55 ish.

I have the plants enclosed and under a single florescent long bulb and have a 100 watt light bulb on inside the tent for warmth.

Hey James, I looked again at all your pics and I would let them go for longer than 5 or 7 days. It looks like they are still throwing out new pistils which means they will still put on weight which is what you want. What is the wattage of the single light you're using? Maybe the reason they're a little behind the optimistic breeder estimates is that they aren't quite getting what they need so they're lagging developmentally maybe. I'd let them continue to grow and feed them, they'' start to fade and let you know when they're ripe.

the trichomes will tell you when to harvest. I’d expect to see the leaves yellowing as it enters the last phase of life. I think they have a ways to go yet.
Thanks guys. Yea I was expecting to see some die back as well from what I've seen in photos of "ripe/ready" buds.

We got a heavy rain fall about 2 weeks ago, suffered some localized bud rot. So I excised the rot and didn't isolate the plants even though iknow I should have. So I covered and provided the 100 watt standard bulb and box fan on medium for the last 1.5 weeks in the enclosure to keep the moisture down. The fluorescent bulb that is overtop of the plant is from a neighbor who had some high quality hydroponic lights, but only 1 of the 3 bulbs worked when plugged her in (I don't know the wattage 😔, I would uncover during the day to get sun light and keep the fluorescent on all day and night (as of approximately 1.5-2 weeks now)

My inexperience is apparent I know 😆

I thought that based on the suppliers seed to harvest day count, and that they were outdoor grow, that 70 and 80 days for each strain being pushed back to 95 100 days seemed reasonable, so I thought I could force a final push at 12-13 weeks by stopping feeds/watering and lowering the light intensity to not degrade the trichomes that I did have and that they'd be close to finishing up. Then I figured I'd cut those Jack's because I didn't want my sativa turning too far amber.

At some points I'm stressed, at other times I just say F it, they are gonna do what their gonna do.

I think I'm going to do 5 gallon buckets for my autos and move them back and forth from outside and do multiple strains for fun, and maybe throw a few photoperiods into the outdoor garden next spring.

My bubblegum looks so good and healthy inside the house vs risking autos outside again.

Sorry for the rant/stream of consciousness. 🙂
