I tried to use my loop for first time harvesting last night and it was real hard to try and focus in with it.. I man just to get a nice clear view.. any suggestions or tips?
The best way is to use natural sunlight. If you are an indoor grower, snip a small sugar leaf off and bring it outside in direct sunlight. Hold the loupe ~1/2" or less away from the lens and then move your head or lens slightly in or our to get a good focus. Then turn the leaf to the side so you can see the tric heads. I have several lens' and all work equally with just different maginifications. The higher the magnification the smaller the movements to focus.
The key is getting the lens very close to the leaf/bud. If you leave the leaf on the plant your face is burried in the leaves which can make it somewhat difficult to get a good amount of light on your focus area. Just practice looking at your finger prints on a finger. That will show you how close you need to get.
Here you go Groff. For the price I could not lose either way. Its good enough to see trich change and takes nice photos with my 4S. I more wanted it just to watch trich change up to harvest and it will do just that. And I was willing to wait as I ordered at beginning of another grow.
