Indoor Jiffy peat pellets - to use them or not to use them?

And how you prepare cubes with pH water/nutes? If you squeeze them, air goes out.
Drown'em!
Just hold them under water until saturated.

pH should be 5. The water could be a weak sol'n of nutes. I like to do that, as my fertiliser contains amino acids that are very beneficial for seedlings, but it is not necessary.

I soak mine in water..... sometimes I use a super weak dose of earthjuice hi brix grow/bloom some liquid kelp but plain tap water works just fine too.

So I set water solution on pH 5.0 and soak cubes in it? Then plant seed?
When I was reading that cubes have pH 9 (not water from them, cubes!) and you must drop them down to 6, I end reading few months ago... Soak them, then squeeze them (some says no squeeze as air goes out), then again soak them etc...
Now, If you saying I need only soak them once in pH 5, I will use them as I have plenty of them in my closet.

I prefere to germinate in wet paper and transfer the germinated seed to a cube or jiffy if needed.

You only need to soak once prior to use. I squeeze lightly. No prob with air.
When watering rockwool cubes after planting the germ, use pH 5.7-6. After transfer to soil, keep water in the range pH 5.9-6.4.
