Ok well I'm sure some may disagree and honestly maybe I'm jumping the gun here but let me recap my brief and recent experince with Joint Dr seeds.

I received 10 regular sex purple ryder seeds. Out of 10 only 2 properly germed, and out of those 2 only 1 sprouted. Luckily it is female and growing strong! So basically 1 out of 10 total success rate there.

Next I received 3 feminized easy Ryder seeds. All 3 quickly germed properly, however, only 2 sprouted. Of those 2, 1 is growing strong at 2 weeks while the other has had issues since cracking the soil, it's extremely behind in growth, has yellowing, and can barely hold itself up. I'm going to give it another week to recover some, if not I'm scrapping it.

So basically out of 13 seeds I have 2 successfully growing plants!!! I'm no super expert grower, but I have some decent knowledge and have a previous grow inder my belt. I would like to think these problem are mostly due to the seeds and not me. Luckily I got the seed company to send me 5 free fem easy ryders to suppliment the terrible experince I had with the 10 PR seeds. If this batch has a very low success rate too then I'm done w/ joint dr products!

hey how are you germing them? i have only had one weird seed that was an easyryder but it still grew and gave a half O.

i have only started 5 easyryders from joint dr but straight in soil they all sprouted within 48 hours.
maybe you got a few bad batches or if youre soaking or anything like that that may be the problem?..
with germing out of soil then planting there is a chance of damage to the tap root also if you plant too deep they only have so much energy to grow before giving up. you may know all these things im not trying to talk down to you or anything just seems strange as ive had very different results.

atleast they sent you some free beans anyway.

I germ using WPT method. Up until these seeds, I've never had a seed NOT germ this way and most of those were all just bag seed. Thought i'd have this issue with them, not these high grade seeds.

i did that for my first grow with some bagseed myself worked fine but i just dont like the chance for damage or letting the tap root go too long and reducing chances but most seem to use it so thats probably not it so.
maybe try a fewnew methhods and one in wpt with the 5 replacements see what works best or atall? if not the seeds are shitty. i got mine from attiitude where are yours from? maybe its just bad/old stock. hard to tell:confused:
i do love the easyryder smoke if its any consolation it might be worth the hassle this time.

also are you keeping them warm etc during WPT? i like using soil as i just put on some lights so it keeps the soil warm while they are under it and then as soon as they break through they have some light.

other than that all i can think is if youre overwatering them or your soil it too hot (with nutes) autos dont like much feed early on usually, you say you only used bagseed before so im assuming these are your first autos.

Yes these are my first autos. I got my seeds from attitude as well. I keep my wpt in ziplock bag and in a folded tshirt placed on a cable box so the seeds stay dark, warm, and moist.

you might have better success with soil.... sorry to hear you are having a hard time.... maybe try automaticseed.com next time the breeders are all here and support their strians..

:smokebuds:

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Let me share my experience if you don't mind. I too ordered the 10 pack of regular purple ryders. So far I have dropped 4 of them with 100% germ rate. 3 of them were female, and I am waiting to tell the sex of the fourth.
My method is I drop them in a shot glass of ph'd water until they sink. Then I drop them about 1/2" into damp soil in a party cup, cover the hole and pour the shot glass on top. In about 3-4 days, they poke their head out of the soil. On the second day of that wait, I add another shot glass of water if the soil is dry (my setup dries out quick).
This method has worked for over 25 seed drops so far with only one failure. I hope this helps.:peace:

Personally I get around 95% success with peat pucks. I just soak the pucks in a bucket, toss em in a humidity dome once they expand and plunk the seeds in em. I like the K.I.S.S. method as I've found sprouting seeds HATE to be fussed with, especially autos. Have you PHd your soil and your water? Is the soil you have your seedlings in nute-free? Sending good seed karma your way, your next go will be a success!

i grow joint dr only!thats because i havent gotten ahold of any dragns as of yet:(.i have never had any issues period with them .im a diesel ryder fanatic.i feel inlove with this auto the vewry first grow & havent looked past my shoulder towards a photo since.got 5-10 joint dr grows finished & all gave excellent growth, smell, weight & fantastic bud in my jars.1 -1 1.5 oz per plant every time .im a joint dr exclusive grower & proud of it!!!pppass, keep it green. love that sticky stanky green miracle.love you all on A.F.N

I believe that had some bad seed batches out there for awhile and haven't really kept up with them recently due to all the other strains out there now.
