Hello
I bought a tub of biotabs on 420 and thats it. Was thinking of using great white, recharge, and 2 biotabs per 3gal pot. Maybe some bloom tea after 30 days, thoughts? My soil would be Coast of Maine platinum growers soil with some added coco and perlite. Thoughts? Mostly mephisto auto flowers.

I hope someone comes along and answers because Those are good questions. Have you tried any coast of Maine stuff yet? I’ve had my eye on their super soil, the stonington blend. Mostly just wondering if it could actually work, water only, for an autoflower .. wanted to do biotabs but can’t until there are faster / cheaper shipping options for US. It would be awesome to find a good super soil until then

I hope you hear that the biotabs can work by themselves... I mean they should? When I do finally get around to getting some that was my plan too— use what I already bought for beneficial bacteria etc. definitely no point in buying the same stuff twice , assuming things work the same

If you bought Biotabs, then stick to their feeding regime. Tabs alone works too, it's just slow release NPK.

This year I am testing some cheap NPK slow release tablets, bought 1kg for 10€ and it should go 4 months with 100g per plant. So 1kg is for 10 plants. Right now plants are 2 months old and they looking great, I just mix tablets with soil and let nature/rain do their things. No watering, no messing with "teas", no microbes (already in dirt, guerilla grow). So right now all great and cheaper than Biotabs.

Awesome, I will be adding my biotabs next week. Just using biotabs and recharge.

Strawberry nuggets on left, Forgotten cookies on right. 30 days since the cracked seeds were planted. Coast of Maine Platinum Growers soil mixed with 30% perlite. 2 biotabs per 3gal pot on day 20.
Poland springs water, with recharge once a week and one dose of URB microbes on day 25. Using just biotabs.

Could be burn only. What is your ph going in and yout runoff ph. Looks like could be a potassium deficiency or ph problem. Im not the expert but those 2 would be where i started bases off the photo. @Prophetiko will prolly clear you up or @Waira

First thing I did was read up on the soil you mentioned.. It states on their website and in the soil description, that the platinum mix is a "super soil"... You shouldnt need to add anything from seed to harvest when using a super soil ( problem [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG]).. Then I checked the bio tabs site.. It says 1 tab per 5 liters of potting soil. Potting soil is usually just a base soil wit no or little npk values (problem [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG]).. Thats where the bio tabs would come into play.

You now habe a lot going on it that soil. Its packed with food and the plants are feeding heavily on it. The yellowing on the tips is a for sure sign of nute burn.. That dark green leaf color is a sign of too much nitrogen. I've never used bio tabs so I'm not sure if flushing will work. Especially in a super soil mix. But yes, you are experiencing nute burn do to over feeding. Personally I would start using water only, as both products ( the soil and the bio tabs) suggest. Anything extra you add to the soil is just adding more food to the soil..

I don't PH, I just use spring water. I agree with nute burn. Next time I will use biobizz light mix. I'll save the platinum growers mix for photo periods.
