Just Genetics or Grower Error?

Go get a vaporizer for like 15-20$ at your local drug store, should help raise RH cheaply
@Mas i was wondering the same, I have a 100cfm exhausting at the top with a passive air intake on bottom. My cabinet is not air tight so I wonder if turning the exhaust off would be benificial. I don't know if the slight humidity gain I may see would be worth the loss of 100cfm of fresh air???

one way to find out eh ?

Measure little and often......................and aim at 60%

I would not turn off the fan... @Seabass they sell a know that can control your fan. It's not expensive it plugs directly in to an outlet and the fan plugs into it and can be turned down to 50% and you'll still have fresh air but still be able to raise humidity

And as for the community yes we pride ourselves on our "AFN vibe" there's no judgment here man we all want to see monster plants in everyone's thread

@A-Train i turned fan down to low and after a spritz on the soil and plant RH is up to 48%. :bighug:
@GoAuto6 my light is 22" from top if plant. I do not have a soil PHer. I'm using KindSoil so only bought the little water tester kit and earth juice ph down crystals. Now I know, next grow, Roots Organics soil!
Much love all, appreciate all you do.

:toke: Seabass-- Looks like the homies got you covered, but I'll chime in with more....
>> FuxFarms has indeed been really bad and spotty with soil quality, namely badly acidic undercooked soil, both HF and OF,... some get OK bags, other get shwagg! I have tested several right on the shop floor, here in CA less then 400 miles from their home base, and ALL were in the low 5's :doh: that is inexcusable! Many a patient has come here with woes related to this aas well,... your [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] best tool to deal with soil pH-- KS included (I've run KS, and the layers can have different pH's)-- is the Accurate 8 soil pH probe, with a built in moisture meter (very handy as well!).. nothing beats actual in-pot measurements, and since you're using a "supersoil" type product, any sort of waterlogging , flushing, etc. is a no-no, and the dubious run-off test calls for such heavy watering to get properly leached run-off to test,...

>> looking at the plant, I see the odd color break in the leaves,.. we see it pretty often, and usually it clears out and the plant grows fine, but not always,... I'm not sure what actually causes it, since it happens to any number of fine growers I know who have they seeding stage growing totally dialed,... Sometime, low pH can cause nutritional issue that manifest with similar symptoms.... Not to alarm you, but a more remote possibility with this type of color break is a viral infection, very rare, and a real SOB to diagnose with any certainty unless you get a specialized set of test kits that test for different viral agents (Tobacco mosaic, hemp mosaic, et al)... let's just assume for now this is not the case here! That said, the low RH at even moderate temps can cause some of that transpiration stress, worsened by strong direct breezes,... So, until you can get that in-pot pH, some of this will remain a mystery,... don't bother with the cheapie skinny metal probes you see at garden centers etc., they suck! look up the A8, by Control Wizard,....

:smoking:..ah, good point 912'! ...Seabass, seedling want less intense light at first, and the difference even half a foot can make is significant, so raise that up more,.... light intensity/proximity, RH, T, air movement, any combo of these in the wrong way can cause the curls,...

22" is pretty intense with 5w diodes, I have to agree. However, I have always ran GN HS1's about 18" from the seedlings with no problems. MS006 around 20"

I guess those GN lights are more gentle though.
