Live Stoner Chat just went shopping. needing some advice.

went to find what i could locally. the store only had 1 bag of foxfarms ocean forest. so i got that 1 happy frog and 2 coco loco bags. never used cocoloco. thought it was like soil. guess its more like hydroponics. so not sure what i should do. nutes i have are earth juice calmag. foxfarms grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. i have experience with happy frog and ocean forest. but what should i do with the loco? about to set up 2nd tent this week and just wanted some advice on the loco and how to use it. "zero experience" with hydroponics. just soil.

Hey bro

My understanding on that Coco Loco is it only has enough Coco in it to keep well arreated. It's supposed to be mixed with nutrients and buffers just like their soil. So I believe you would simply be growing like soil you may end up finding yourself feeding a little sooner or something like that.

thinking about doing hempy buckets with the coco loco just to be on safe side. might do a hempy vs airpot grow with same nutes.
but thanks for clarifying on the cocoloco. its meant as a potting soil and not just a coco medium as a means to a hydro set.

Also includes plenty of good stuff like aged forest products, perlite, earthworm castings, bat guano, Norwegian kelp meal, oyster shell and dolomite lime. Heck, it even has some mycorrhizal fungi tossed in for good measure!​

Sounds like they are making coco like so called "super soils", "super coco", by adding this stuff.
Seems like it's pre loaded and has ferts / nutes. Pretty cool, I think!!!

So don't go adding a whole bunch more stuff, or you'll just over fert and burn / kill your plants.

Yeah I watched a guy do
A side-by-side using Coco Loco and another soil. And he treated it like soil all the way through.

Actually now that I recall I think he might have layered some Happy Frog on top and Coco Loco on the bottom. I'm going to see if I can't remember who that grower was.

Like how "super soil" is supposed to be used?
The super soil on the bottom, but reg soil on top.
