well heres my af crop that i started 1st aug, 9 af's in 6L buckets, dr100 grow tent, Canna Terra Professional plus soil, under 250w hps, one mini clip fan, one prima klima 160 twin speed extractor fan and digital temprature gauge, the plants are 19 days old now and are showing lots of pistils, just planted the rest of the seeds yesterday so just waiting for sprouting i lst'd one plant for the crack


i have a few q's for the experts here they are.


1:in the soil it reads that there is perlite in it, i thought perlite was white, should i buy a bag of it or not

2:what yield should i expect?

3:im using bio bizz are these good?

4:what should the ec be for these af's and how do i get the ec up using bio bizz, i have ph up and ph down blue lab ec meter and ph reader

Sup dude i think you may wanna get a bigger hps bulb, Im in a dr90 using a 400W hps!! I also use biobizz light mix soil and nutes very good! Don't know much aout canna terra soil but i would imagine as a premix soil there will be enough perlite in it, but if you wanted to add more just be careful how much you add to much drainage is not cool! As for yield that is something no one can really tell you as it depends on so many things, but imo you should upgrade ya bulb for that size tent! Good luck brother!

Welcome to the New Growers forum. Looks like you're off to a good start.

Yes, perlite is white and I'm not seeing any in your soil. Since it needs to be well mixed in the soil, it is too late for these plants. But I would suggest you get some or look for a different soil mix that already contains it.

Your yield will depend on a lot of things, the strain, your skills and avoiding any problems, to mention a few. It could be anywhere from .5 oz up to 2 oz if all goes well.

A lot of people here are using Bio Bizz with good results. I would suggest starting at 1/4 the recommended strength and slowly working up, while watching the plants to see how they like it. When you mix your nutrients into the water, check the pH, then use your pH Up and Down to adjust it to between 6.3 - 6.5. Nutrients usually lower the pH so you would use pH up to raise it. If you're feeding plain water it's likely the pH will be high, so use the pH Down to lower it. Give the plants enough water/feed so that about 10% runs out the bottom. Capture that and test the pH. It should be about the same and if different, indicates that the pH of your soil is off.

but on the site it says that it has good mix of perlite :/ ill no for next grow, thanks again for the help, any chance of tellin me what the ec should be and how do i get it up to it as the reader blink son the first dot indicating 0.1 or something

I have never used ec fella don't think you need it for soil and organic nutes.its mire for the hydro growers.

whats ur ph at .1 is about right for irish water up the north anyway
