Live Stoner Chat Killing your Auto at harvest....

Hi there Denizens,

In the past, i've basically killed my auto cannabis plants
at the point of harvesting them. But actually, perhaps that's
not necessary. Perhaps i could harvest the flowers, leave the
leaves in tact... and allow the plant to live beyond the harvest.

With other plants, like grape vines, for example. The root stock
determines the productivity of the plant during it's fruiting period.
A small root stock, yields small bunches of grapes and smaller
sized grapes. Conversely, a larger root stock, yields larger bunches
of grapes with larger grapes. The productivity of the plant is related
to the size and development of it's root system.

So maybe killing the plant at harvest time, isn't such a good idea.
Maybe it would be a better idea to leave the plant alone. So it
can develop it's root system and generate greater productivity
the next time around.

Have any of you done that ? If so what happens ?
In particular, does it flower perpetually ?
It's an auto-flowering plant, right ?
Does it go into a vegetative phase ?
If so, why didn't it do that the first time around ?
(It's not photo-sensitive).
How many years would an auto flowering plant live ?

I'd love to hear from those that are experienced and/or
knowledgeable in these questions.

Have a nice day :)

Some how my answers ended up on page seven so no one will see it, oh well you can get 2 crops from auto flower. I'll take pics soon.

Ok I did the experiment after seeing this thread. If you remember I took pics of my harvested plant. Well it started growing again and now after long last began to flower again, the original harvest I got 2 oz but now not sure I'll get much especially cause the out door season is coming to an end. I'll have to move Indoors and sad to say I won't have the room for it. But it dose seem to work. This plant was from my own seed ,blue cheese x eather self or could be northern lights. To me it looks like it has lost its vigor, very late to flower, as are the rest of my crop. Gorilla glue, green crack, texada time warp. And a few sisters of said revging plant, these by the way are more advanced then the reveging one. Thus my thought of lost vigor. I didn't like this home made cross after harvesting it it seemed to be all calixes and was like smoking hair, minus the nasty taste and smell. So I made extracts.
