Before purchase, you might consider checking out autocob lights, such as those available at www.cobshop.net. They don't make noise, they are very efficient, especially when compared to mass built led lights, have low electrical draw, low heat throw and small and easy to move.
Or you can build a lot better light yourself with strips, which are 200-220 lumens per watt now. The cheapest option and most individualised. Also a lot better what can you find in various shops. DIY is not that hard.
I was looking at the king plus led grow light myself. Has anyone had a good go with it? . . . I was also thinking about running 3 viparspectra 300watt leds and to auto cob leds in my flower tent. . . Has anyone done this ? Will it be sufficient for a 5x5 tent?
Be careful with any light on Amazon -- the advertised wattage is almost never the real wattage pulled from the wall, it's a made up number by the manufacturer. For example the 1000W King Plus LED does not have any information about how much power it actually uses, but a reviewer there stated it's "200 Watts".
Another thing to watch out for is that many of these LED lights 1) Don't last very long and 2) Are less efficient than HPS. So you're better off buying an older bulb if you're on a budget or get a COB or midpower LED chip strip/board light.
