Leaf Removal

Is it okay to remove the following leaves? There at the bottom, sitting on the soil and to me, seem to be taking up watering area being that I have to pull it them up when I have to go to water. Also, what is the best way to remove them? Cutting them off at the stalk? Cutting half way down the leaves stem? Thank you in advance.

Just chop them right at the stock,Do it all the time with mine and never have any issues

Yeah man, just nip the leaves off near to the stem/branch. They are not doing anything so might as well get rid especially if they are hampering your watering!

Thanks yall. One off the leaves I believe I may have pulled too much. theres a very small hole where I pulled it. I have tape on it but its not sticking
