When I first started reading about indoor gardening I kept seeing the rule "1 gram per watt".
Now this simple statistic didn't involve LEDs and I think it was showing what can be achieved rather than the norms.

So I'd like to ask all of you who had successful harvests:

What's your Gram(s) per Watt ratio from your harvests?

P.S. As per the suggestion of TaNg:

If you can please also provide a short info on your grow stats such as your light regimen, ambient temps and humidity levels.

Thanks!

----- DATA -----

medic grower: 0.896 gr./w [180w (100w real) mars h., coco, 2 girls (mephisto)]
Bilbo: 0.86 gr./w [0.48 grams per kilowatt used (280 divided by 585)]

Given more light means more buds, it's a very good idea TaNg - thanks!. Updated the post.

You need to know how many light hours the plant has had too to make a good comparison.

I suppose I better actually weigh the next harvest and get the calculator out!

I'm too stoned atm but if you haven't done an equation everyone can use to answer, including light hours/grams/watts I'll do one for it later.

Well last run 2 Mephisto Girls 4 l Coco 180w Mars Hydro Ufo (100w draw) was 86,9 grams so thats a 0.896 gr per watt( i think topable with bigger pots).... Current setup 180w(100w draw) + 300w(170w draw) will post results after chopping n drying.

That is fantastic! I will update the original post with your stats.

Well I've thought about it and the easiest way I can think of doing it to take into account is; calculate the total number of hours your lights are on for the whole grow, mines easy - 24h x 75 days = 1800 light hours

Multiply that by my true watts, different panels used at different stages but always around 325w true last 2 grows so - 1800 x 325 = 585000w or 585kw

So if I harvest 280g dry, stickless and cured I get a figure of 0.48 grams per kilowatt used. (280 divided by 585 btw)

This would work out as 0.86grams per watt without taking into account light hours.

Btw - it's based on a 200w true Vipar Cob unit helped for the first 5.5 weeks by a Vipar V300 150w true, last 5.5 weeks I use a Vipar 90w true red only panel, averages out at 325w ish

How about measuring in Watts/g as a more.....ummmmm......illuminating way of describing the relationship between luminosity and yield?

Ok to be precise Huidity is aproax 40-50% and they got 24/0 Lightcycle.
