ok so I’m about to harvest my first grow this weekend (fast bud gorilla glue and fastbud GSC) I grow in a 1.2x1.2x1.6 tent in my loft in soil with 600w HPS I’ve just ordered some Glueberry OG Auto (very excited to plant these baby’s )for my next run but to be honest I’m not impressed with the HPS light I see so much better results with LEDs plus its going to warm up here where I am so I think the HPS will create heat problems as my loft in spring /summer is hot as balls .

So I need your advice guys are led better? should I change to led ? if so which ones do you recommend? Or investment into cooling the tent ?

Autocobs are the latest rage in lighting. Quite a few of us have changed to them. You might want to check out Autocobs such as those available from www.cobshop.net. I have the ready to hang 3500K Autocobs. These lights carry low a electrical draw, they are silent, very efficient, reasonably priced, easy to move around and they are bright bright bright!

They look pretty good not read one bad thing About them are they the real deal then ? N how many at what watt would I need in my small 1.2x1.2x1.6 grow tent ? Also do you need to install anything with them ?

One Autocob per plant. I've tested one Autocob for two plants. Works fine, but no real "get up and go" so to speak. I've tested one plant two Autocobs and that was far far tooooooooo much light. They come with hangers. You just have to decide if you want completed lights or you finish build lights. Timber cobs I believe come in a frame. That does not work for me. I have 6 of the 3500K ready to hang Autocobs.

I have had a 250w HPS, 750w HPS, 250 LED, 275 LED, and now run a single autocob from the link above.

That single light is enough for my 2'x2' space, but more lights would be necessary for bigger plants.

It is the cheapest to operate, quietest, coolest, and least likely to burn the plants from UV out of all the lights I've used. It's the only light I'd recommend for someone with either restricted space, or a clandestine/illegal grow.

Thanks guys it’s nice to get a good opinion rather than just the crap I find on google . I’m in Uk and having problems finding them here are the just a US thing? I was think of doing 6 plants in my 1.2 x 1.2 tent will 2 be enough in there ?

LED is great in my opinion. No worries about heat. Good penetration into the plant.

Hey @GreenGardener , you still about... I'm UK and run cobs, got a list of places to buy from and if you fancy the DIY option I can help loads. Just give me a tag.

Yes please mate My loft is hot as shit atm and I think in the summer just going to get hotter with a 600w hps as well. I don’t mind diy opinion I’ll give it a go
